Biography

Ms. Tala Farr serves as the Program Coordinator for the Combatant Commands (CCMD) Disease Surveillance Coordination Project within the Center for Global Health Engagement's (CGHE) Program and Joint Force Support (PJFS) Division. In her role, she coordinates and develops regionally-focused infectious disease surveillance workshops to coordinate infectious disease surveillance activities among DoD and USG agencies and to identify and fill surveillance gaps in support of geographic CCMD force health protection (FHP) decision making and security cooperation planning.

Ms. Farr is an experienced program management professional with 10+ years of event/meeting planning and program/project management experience. She has worked in various capacities executing and facilitating meetings and events for both social and corporate engagements, as well as supported and managed an array of DoD, military health entities and university research programs and/or projects. Ms. Farr has a BA in Communication from University of Maryland, College Park and is fluent in English and Farsi.
