USU’s CGHE Support to Operation Bushmaster

Operation Bushmaster is the culminating military medical field practicum completed by all USU MSIV students and many Graduate School of Nursing students. Bushmaster tests students’ medical knowledge, leadership skills, and teamwork abilities over a simulated combat deployment. USU’s CGHE supports Operation Bushmaster’s military medical field exercise through the provision of subject matter experts and the planning and execution of a DoD GHE lane taking place within a simulated, strategically-located Partner Nation town. The goal is to provide students with an awareness of the rationale, principles, challenges, and opportunities of conducting GHE activities at the tactical level to support theater tactical and operational goals and mission objectives.
